I have been searching for a record of my great great grandfather, Daniel McManus. He appears as witness to the marriage of Charles McManus and Mary McFaul, daughter of John McFaul, in the Ballymena, Ire. marriage records. l would apreciate any information on this marriage. Charles Mcmanus was 22 at this marriage. Daniel probably would have been 18 years old. He also married an Irish woman named Mary [?].
Help would be appreciated.

Charles McManus & Margaret McFaul were my great, great, great grandparents. Charles was born in Co. Fermanagh about 1830 and was the son of Daniel McManus. Charles' work must have brought him from Fermanagh to Ballymena where he married Margaret McFall in 1853. They family were Presbyterian. Subsequently, Charles & Margaret moved to Belfast. By the time of the 1901 census Margaret had died, but Charles out lived her by at least a decade and died in Belfast in early 1911.

The marriage record of Charles & Margaret notes both their fathers' names, but the witnesses are given as David McFaul and Hugh Nesbit, not Daniel McManus as you suggest. Are you descended from Charles & Margaret?
