Islandmagee families

Post by J.A.M. » 25 Jan 2006, 19:49

I am looking for the Ballymoney/Portmuck, Islandmagee McCalmont family. My great-great grandfather was John McCalmont who had 2 sons, my great grandfather, Alexander (about 1854-1939) & Thomas (1859-1903). I suspect there are more children, including a daughter Martha. Alexander had 9 children. Thomas had 6. Alexander married twice & had Sammy who went on to become the Larne-Islandmagee ferryman in 1953.
Any McCalmont information will be greatly appreciated whether it's my immediate family line or not.
