APPLOTMENTS

Post by pruforbes271 » 24 Aug 2010, 10:03

Have found a reference to John McBurnie in "ApplotmentS". This gives only the year 1835 Antrim, Connor, Connor. What else can be found from the Applotment ercord and how can I access this info?

It's not possible to search on line for NI births after 1922. You either need to contact the central GRO in Belfast or the local BDM registrar in Enniskillen and give them the information you have. I would favour the latter since you know the place and year the person was born. Assuming they find the birth, you'll then normally be able to purchase a copy of the certificate (from either source).

Thank you for getting back to me... It is my own records I am looking for, as I would like to know the time I was born, and it doesnt mention this on my birth cert.

I don't think the time of birth is recorded on an NI birth cert except where there is a multiple birth (ie twins etc) when that matters because it shows which child is the eldest, but a phone call to any NI registry office should confirm whether I am right.
