Introduction: ÔÇÿAll Ireland SourcesÔÇÖ is a monthly newsletter distributed free by E-mail to Family History Societies and interested researchers near the end of each month. Distribution by Australia Post each three months (three issues) costs $6.00 annually within Australia. The aim is to bring items of interest regarding Irish record sources to the Australian genealogist. The editor would appreciate being made aware of records relating to the Irish, particularly those held in Australia or new in the LDS Family History Library. Back copies available free for downloading from www.sag.org.au. Note new email address.

RESOURCE COUNTY LEITRIM (1 CD-ROM) and RESOURCE COUNTY ROSCOMMON (2 CD-ROMs): Available from John Hunter, Unit 10, 72 Lorimer Terrace; Kelvin Grove Queensland 4059, Australia.

Introduction

Despite years of work, four visits to Ireland, payment to researchers in County Roscommon, letters published in the Roscommon Herald and help from Australians researching the same families, John has made no real headway in his County Roscommon research. The Byrne/Beirne and Moraghan families of Killummod, the Connor family of Aghadangan and the Nerney family of Cloonboyoge townlands have left few records.
However, in the process John has unearthed and collated background information which will be useful to other people seeking information about the Roscommon roots of their family trees. That information is presented on this CD in the hope that it will save other people from re-inventing the wheel. Hopefully they will have more success in their research than John has had. This CD is a very useful tool for anyone researching any ancestral area in Ireland. It can be adopted and adapted for research in any county by using the same methods and resources. It includes examples of many of the records the researcher is likely to find in his/her research.
John would welcome any feedback, enquiries or additional information.

Query: HART or OÔÇÖHART : Looking for the births of two children in the USA around 1870-75. Mary Hart or OÔÇÖHart and Michael Hart or OÔÇÖHart, Michael born 1872. Father Michael OÔÇÖHart or Hart and mother possibly Maguire. The family returned to Ireland by ship about 1876 and the child Mary Hart (OÔÇÖHart) died on the voyage and was buried at sea leaving only the other child Michael to arrive at Cobh near Cork City in Ireland with his parents. Descendants live in Clones, County Monaghan where this family returned to. Any information or advice to Terry Eakin, email tea04055@bigpond.net.au, all costs reimbursed.
