Millar/Lamont

PLease excuse me. this is the first time I have posted anything. I have dabbled with trying to trace things for a few years, and just got interested again.

My Great Grandmother lists her Name as Ethel Millar/Miller, and her parents as Samuel Millar, Mary Lamont on her wedding certificate. I can find them in the 1901 census as Ethel Miller age 5 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/p ... et/926990/ where she is listed as a granddaughter, and it the 1911 census as Ethel Millar age 15 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/p ... et/118113/

However i cant find a birth record anywhere. Maybe I don't know where to look. I checked ancestry.ca and emeraldancesters. I was hoping to be able to get more information to correctly link people up by finding it. Does anyone know where i can look, she lists Belfast as a birthplace, but her family is from ballymena, and i have her as april 2 1895.

Emerald has Samuel Millar and Mary Lamont's marriage in Co Antrim 1894, but I can't see any Ethel born in 1895 or thereabouts. Perhaps Ethel wasn't her name on her birth certificate? There was a Jane Millar b July - Sept 1895, Ballymena on the LDS site.
