WHITESIDE

Seeking any information on the Whiteside family of Ballymena and surrounds.

Have Baptismal Certificate of my ancestor Samuel Whiteside who was christened at West Church, Ballymena on 16 May 1838. Date of Birth is shown as 23 April 1838. Father Samuel and mothers maiden name Leech.

Samuel snr and wife Eliza/Elizabeth Leech or Leitch migrated to Greenock, where Eliza was apparently born, in Scotland later in life with their son Samuel James and other children Ann, Elizabeth and Mary Whiteside. Samuel James migrated to New Zealand and was my Great Grandfather.

I think I replied before. Are you still working on your Ballymena family? My grandmother Agnes Whiteside was born there in 1876 or '77. Please let me know if you are still active or you ever found more info.
