James Boyd 1830-1873

Post by rmcneill » 21 Jul 2012, 08:26

I am trying to search Antrim connections for James Boyd who was born in Ballymena, County Antrim in 1830. He was listed as a wine merchant when he came to Australia for the goldrush in approx 1852. He married in Victoria in 1855 and died at Dunolly, Victoria in 1873. His son was James Langwell Boyd and subsequently his son was also named James Langwell Boyd. The Langwell may have an Antrim connection.

I have no details of James' (1830-1873) parents or siblings.

Interested in any information that others may have.

regards,

Richard McNeill

No success yet. James Boyd's parents were Robert Boyd , farmer and Jane ,nee Craig. James came to Australia in 1852 and he was Presbyterian.
Hope the information is helpful in finding a connection.
