Hughes - Coalisland, Tyrone

Post by jdelauche »

Hello -

I am researching a family line for my significant other. So far I have this information:

John Hughes (b. County Tyrone; d. ?) m. abt 1883, County Tyrone to Kate [Unknown, maiden name may have been Kennedy] (b. abt 1861, County Tyrone; d. ?)
From 1911 Ireland Census:
Residence: Coalisland, County Tyrone; Civil Parish: Tullyniskan
John Hughes occupation, 1911, Day Laborer
* James (b. ?, probably born in County Tyrone)
* Ellen (b. 1889, Coalisland, County Tyrone), emigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, arriving 17 Apr 1910 on ship: Merion
* Anna (b. 2 Dec 1893, Coalisland, County Tyrone; d. Nov 1948, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA), 1911 Ireland census gives her occupation as: Factory Worker; emigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, arriving 16 Sep 1912 on ship: Haverford; 1913 occupation: Weaver in a textile mill in Philadelphia; Naturalized U.S. citizen: 1915; m. to Francis Patrick O'Neill abt 1915, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
* Bridget (b. 1897, Coalisland, County Tyrone; d. ?, Ireland - probably Coalisland, Tyrone) m. Alexander Brady, County Tyrone
* John (b. abt 1899, Coalisland, County Tyrone; d. ?)

Any tips or leads on this Hughes family in Ireland will be appreciated. I have some other information on the Bridget Hughes and Alexander Brady children from another family member.

Thank you in advance. Jean, Missouri, USA
