Hi,

As well as looking for Cunninghams(C.Tyrone) and Shearman, (many spellings), Lisburn; I am trying to travel down the McCallum/Apsley family branch.

Charles McCallum(carter) (b.c.1811) and his wife, Martha Apsley (b.c.1810) ended up in Glasgow. They were both born in Ireland and probably married there as there are no records for them in Scotland before the Scottish census began. Their third child, Martha (b.1836) was born in Scotland and the previous two, (Sarah(b.c.1834) and David(b.c.1831) seemed to have been both born in Ireland. I have no details where unfortunately.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

See the Larne - 1852 Officials, Nobility, Clergy & Professionals thread on the History of Larne Town section of the History board on this site. The Misses Apsley are mentioned.

Apsley, S. & L., high-class stationers and newsagents are listed as Larne Inhabitants in the Belfast and Ulster Towns Directory for 1910 http://www.libraryireland.com/UlsterDir ... Larne2.php
