Hi to all,
I'm trying to find the birth place of my grandfather.John Joseph Daly. Born 24 june 1881 irish republic. His father also John Daly named on his Marriage cert.Carpenter Jouneyman by trade.
I'v already applied to dublin for a birth cert with the info i have, but it keeps coming back as a Micheal Daly as the father.Trade as coachman.
If there's any-one who might be able to shed any light, i'd be really greatful.
Thanks mo

Christopher

Hello shera,

It seems as though you're not giving sufficient information to enable an accurate search for a birth certificate for your grandfather. Does the cert showing Michael's name give an address? In Griffith's Valuation of Ireland there were Dalys in practically every county in Ireland with a large number living in Co. Cork. If you have a look at the IrishTimes.com Irish Ancestors surname search you'll see the counties where Dalys lived.
